Classroom Procedures
Pencil Procedure
- Always be sure you have a pencil with you during class
- Whenever possible, use the pencil sharpener in your red box
- If you must use another sharpener, do so when the teacher is not talking
- You can have a pencil from the “FREE” jar if you need one
- The golf pencils are for borrowing only
Supplies Procedure
- Use supplies when the teacher asks you to
- Take only the supplies you need
- Use supplies respectfully
- Put everything back neathly where you got it
- Make sure your red box has everything on the checklist

Independent Work
- Do your work
- You can listen to music on your chromebook (not your phone) as long as there isn't a test
- Stay focused
- Don’t cheat
- Don't bother others
- Ask someone at your table or the teacher if you are stuck or need help
Bathroom/Hall Pass
- Each student gets 6 Passes per semester
- When it is independent work time or group work time (check with your group), put 1 paper pass in the envelope
- Sign out, take lanyard pass, and do what you need to do
- When you return, sign in, return lanyard pass, and get back to work
End of Class Procedure
- End class 1-2 minutes early
- Pick up as many pieces of trash as the teacher says to
- Gather all your belongings and clean up your area. Make it look like it was when you first came in
- Push in your chair, stand behind seat, and wait for the bell
Absence Procedure
- If you know you will be gone, check with the teacher to see what you will miss and finish it before you leave or while you are gone
- When you return from being absent or while you are gone check the class website for the calendar and any missing assignments
- Check the blue crate near the hallway windows when you return for hard copies of any missing work
- Be sure to keep up on notebook pages as well as assignments from your absence
- Check with a classmate if you are confused before you check with the teacher
